Serving Others
It may be hard to believe, but over 5,000 people in Hardin County go to bed hungry. If you include neighboring McNairy and Wayne counties, this number goes up to 13,000. One in five of these are children. This is a real problem. Here are some of the ways we are working to help:
Backpack Kids
Our biggest program is our Backpack Kids. Each Friday during the school year, children in our program receive a package that fits perfectly in their backpacks. Inside is an assortment of kid-friendly food that needs little or no preparation, providing adequate nutrition for the weekend.

Seniors
We provide senior citizens a box of food each month which includes non-perishable items, frozen foods and fresh foods when available.

Food Pantry
We operate a food pantry in Savannah, Tennessee that is open to the public.

Our Mission
Our Daily Bread Ministries is a non-profit organization located in Savannah, Tennessee. We serve elderly citizens and children in need of food in our area. Our mission is that no elderly person or child goes to bed hungry.

Our Story
Our Daily Bread began in 2009 in partnership with a local food pantry. It soon became apparent that there was a vulnerable population in need of nutritional support in this area. We became an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2010 so that we could focus on providing food to those who were unsure of where they would get their next meal. We felt we could show the love of Christ to our community by providing food to those in need.
